Have no fear fellow travellers, Paul is on the up and up! Had a great stay at Rue de la Prefecture with zero problems.

The flat was very decent and the location of this apartment is perfect. My sister and her friends who I arranged this apartment for got surprised over the bad standard of the entrance. They were sure they had come to a wrong address. It should have been informed about this renovation prior to arrival. The whole flat was delicate renovated. The shower outlet was almost tight and some overflow took place while showering. Otherwise they were very satisfied with the flat. The flat was well equipped with spices, detergents etc and was ideal for a group visiting Nice for the first time.

Regards Steinar Helland and my sister Helene.

Don’t be fooled by the entrance hall! The apartment itself is decorated to a high standard and is very clean and bright. All the facilities you could need on a stay in France are catered for. If it’s relaxation you are looking for then the DVD projector set up is perfect - state of the art and easy to use (Good selection of DVDs in the apartment too.). Don’t be put off by the fact it is above Wayne’s bar as although this is a lively pub, there is no noise once you close the windows, so it doesn’t affect your sleep. Really close to the beach and within walking distance of the majority of Nice’s main attractions, resturants, bars etc. We stayed as a group of 6 with one couple and 4 singletons, and there was more than enough room for us all. The stairs up to the mezannine are tricky at first (and after a few beers!) but we all got used to then after a day or so, probably not a good idea for small children though. Plenty of fridge/freezer space and utensils if you fancy a spot of cooking with the readily available local produce, with a dishwasher to clean up after you once you’re done. If you’re not sure what to do in Nice then the heaps of local guidebooks / info leaflets in the apartment will sort that out! Well worth the money, would go there again without hesitation.

As others previously have stated; the entrance area is horrible. I and my 5 friends were on our way out of the building again when we suddenly found our PERFECT apartment. The apartment is so open and bright, with everything you need for a problem-free stay, including a surround system that can be connected to your ipod, DVD-projector, kitchen utensils like a blender (for making those perfect drinks) and coffee machine in addition to the standard basics. We had some problems with the main fridge, as it was leaking and not keeping a cold enough temperature, but luckily enough, there was another, smaller fridge. We didn’t spend a euro on buses or trams, because the apartment is within very short walking distance from the old city, the beach, Place Massena and the shopping streets, and the bus station for getting back to the airport. There are small information notes around in the apartment, and a book with all the essential details. It all seemed very professional, and I’d like to recommend the apartment to everyone who’d like to live modern and relaxed in old surroundings in the heart of Nice.
