I spent a delightful time in this apartment. It is beautifully appointed and spacious (unusual in my experience in Europe). Spotlessly clean with a good workable kitchen. Chairs are very comfortable with good lighting for reading (a must for my husband). Even though it is a few minutes from the pedestrian way it is very quiet, there were no difficuties sleeping. I did have reservations about the 4th floor without a lift, but the stairs were easily managed (they seem to be deeper and less steep than in N. America) and the exercise permitted more croissants from the excellent boulangerie around the corner. There is no need for a car, beach, shops and some great restaurants all within 5 min walking distance. Location is terrific. Balcony catches the sun and provides another enjoyable place to sit.

As a retired couple we were delighted with the spaciousness of this apartment, and were charmed not only by its brightness and elegant décor, but also by how comfortable it was. It was more like a home than a rental. The apartment, its facilities and location, is accurately described in the listing. The management office is within two blocks of the apartment, and was most responsive to any request we had. We loved the ease of access to the balcony, where we enjoyed coffees in the sun and sipping wine in the evening as we watched a fireworks display on the sea front. We slept well at night and were most impressed with the quietness of the apartment. The local shopkeepers were good humoured and helpful; adding to the pleasant charm of our stay. We found some excellent restaurants in the immediate vicinity; quite reasonably priced. But do try the “Libertea” in Place Magenta for a pre-dinner Kir. Though we have always stayed in hotels over the many years we have been going to Nice, we so enjoyed the spaciousness and comfort of “Palmier” that we cant wait to return to it.. We have already recommended it to friends.

My husband and I and two teenage children stayed here in mid February. It was a fantastic location right beside the sea and shops/restaurants. The bedrooms were spacious and it was great having two modern bathrooms. The living room was very comfortable and elegant. It was very french with the long windows with the shutters. There is a great bucherie below that does roast chicken and potatoes along with other hot dishes to take away. I would highly recommend staying here and am looking forward to going again.

I stayed at this apartment over the past holiday season and could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. It was immaculately kept, beautifully designed and furnished and centrally located to everything we wanted to see and do in Nice. We enjoyed our stay so much, I am planning to return with other friends in the fall. I would not even consider staying elsewhere, as this property totally exceeded our expectations in every possible way.

My husband and parents stayed in this apartment for a week in May. Lovely apartment in a good location, near the beach and close to the Old City of Nice. Apartment was very clean and was fully fitted out. The kitchen even has a kettle for tea which I haven’t seen in many aprtments in the continent. Overall one of the nicest apartments I have stated in throughout Europe.

All that people said about this apartment is true and much more. It’s beautifull and modern (like decorated by an artist), very clean, fully fitted out, spacious bedrooms. Location is to die for.
I felt that I was valued and cared for, even if I didn’t meet the people who run the apartment.

Short version: we stayed at 16 Rue Meyerbeer, top floor, for the first three weeks of July, 2009. We were very pleased with the apartment and will certainly look to Paul and Go Nice next time we stay in this part of France.

Longer version: when we first arrived the air conditioning was not working and we could not connect to the wireless internet (we’re from the U.S. so our laptops are configured somewhat differently). Paul and his team had both issues fixed within 45 minutes.

We appreciated the washer and dryer as we had kids along. And no problems with the plumbing!

The butcher downstairs is highly recommended, as is the gourmet shop across the street, Eric Lemen (great food, reasonable prices). Le Maison Bleu restaurant across the street was ok. Monoprix is a bit of a walk, but they have everything, and the apartment has one of those rolling shopping thingies to haul all the food and wine back.

There were several guides in the apartment (Rick Steve, popular in the U.S., and “The Rough Guide”)which we found to be useful supplements to our Michelin guide. And lots of other maps and guides, too. The city has an excellent website, esp. detailng their transportation: http://www.nice.fr.
