We arrived in Nice early in the morning as the warm sun beat down on us. Picking up the keys was easy and it wasn’t long before we were hiking up the 3 sets of stairs for a week of R&R. The apartment was perfectly suited for our expectations. It took no time for us to settle in, unpacking our suitcases and moving into the spacious closet in the bedroom. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Nice. The port area is full of activity and there are many affordable restaurants. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in a locals style life, this is the place to do it. Paul was extremely accomodating and we would recommend this flat to any of our closest friends. I hope to visit again soon.

Having arrived in Nice after a change of flight back in England it would be fair to say that my traveling companions and i were fairly highly strung! This was washed away when we reached our final destionation; the appartement is a fantastic blend of old rustic 17th century and contemporary france all roled into one… The facilities are super and it’s location central to the port, beach and old town (where it all happens!). Further more Mr Manion is a welcoming and helpful as you could ever ask for. Overall a fantastic holiday in a fantastic place. I highly recommend both Riviera Rentals and 5 Rue Fodere.

The apartment was great: charming, bright, sunny and in a great location which was convenient to everything. Only a short stroll to the markets for produce and flowers every day, the port and promenade only a block away-clean, convenient and well appointed for a short stay. It was a lovely service to be picked up from the airport by a friendly smile! thanks again Paul

The old Port of Nice is a quiet, undiscovered yet central location to explore the city and beaches. The flat is bright, clean and fresh …….. with a well equipt kitchen, that we used daily, to cook the fresh produce bought nearby in the early morning markets………

    Excellent choice!”

Great port area apartment, exactly as described. Good location with good local shops and restaurants that aren’t overun with tourists. Would happily recommend.

I loved this spacious, sunny apartment, which manages to combine real French charm with all mod cons. From the balcony you can watch the world go by, breakfasting on croissants from one of two excellent boulangeries. Blissful air conditioning when you return hot and sticky from the nearby beaches – the endless Nice beach or one of the little coves east of the port. The port itself is fascinating – if you come to Nice as a tourist you tend to stick to the old town or the shopping area, but the port is a world of its own – superyachts one side, and colorful little fishing boats the other. Rue Fodere is ideally placed for a stroll round the port, a walk into the old town or to the beach. There are loads of local buses, the new tram is not far, and from the local station you can catch trains to Monaco in one direction and Cannes in the other. I can’t wait to come again!

This is a very pleasant appartment, clean, bright and suprisingly spacious. It is very close to the old port and a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to the beach or old town and a few minutes more to the main shopping area. There is a bakery, two quiet bars and a reasonably sized Intermarche within a few blocks. A perfect position to enjoy real French life, we could even hear a chap play his accordian in the block opposite from the balcony, how French is that! Be aware that being on the third floor means six flights of stairs, daunting on arrival with luggage but by the end of the week our fitness level had improved so much that we hardly even noticed them.
